Worth knowing
- Takenoshin Nakai described it in 1919 from upland central Korea. A 1998 survey found it at only seven places in South Korea. Trees and Shrubs Online: Abeliophyllum distichum
- It reached Western gardens as seed sent to the Arnold Arboretum in 1924. The flowers smell of almond blossom, more strongly in a warm room. Trees and Shrubs Online: Abeliophyllum distichum
