Worth knowing
- The fringed pink has sweetly scented flowers with deeply cut, fringed petals. In Japanese culture one form, yamato nadeshiko, stands for an idealized, traditional feminine beauty, and in Chinese herbal medicine, where it is called qúmài, it was used as a contraceptive and diuretic.
